I am always on the lookout for another fundraiser for the adoption. Especially since the ball is rolling a little faster than we had anticipated. And I got this idea from another adoptive couple-eat soup for a week and use the money that you have saved on groceries to donate for the cause of an orphan. I have been thinking about orphans a lot recently, most specifically the little girl we are pursuing an adoption with and my heart has been broken on their behalf. And then I saw this photo and decided that we have been so blessed in this process. SO blessed. I have felt God providing again and again on our behalf as we prepare to bring our daughter home. So I am challenging you.
We are called to look after the orphans and the widows so clearly in the gospel. Let's sacrifice the bounties that we experience everyday in our lives for a week. Eat soup for seven days. And then donate the money on behalf of the orphans of the world. We have supported the work of World Vision for eight years and we will be donating what we save to them.
I challenge you. Join my family for the week and eat soup. Donate and look after orphans and widows .
