the lions den was established to keep people posted on major events happening in our life and to keep a family history, an online scrap book of sorts. we understand our shortcomings in keeping up with family and friends across the country, so this is our attempt to put the ball in your court. the inspiration for the lions den came from our kids beniah and haneul, we want to be able to share their exciting developments with people who want to know. enjoy.

daddy's boy
beniah's first smile and laugh was directed at his daddy. i've always known that i'm not as funny as dave, but i'm not sure my heart was ready for that! honestly though, i think he prefers deeper voices..but i'm not jealous :) i love to watch them interact with one another. he is 12 weeks old now. hes rolling back and forth all over the place and has found his hands and loves to munch on them! heres a video of my daddy's boy performing his latest feats...(sorry it is sideways)

smiling bikerbaby
who knew six hours of sleep could be so amazing?! beniah is starting to either sleep one stretch of six hours or two stretchs of four hours at night. amazing. i don't know how we all made it through these last couple months without any sleep-but i'm now happy for the sleep i get!
my dad came to visit a couple weeks ago..
since beniah is losing all his hair on the sides of his head it looks like hes got a mohawk going on.. i think his expression is funny-hes trying to act hard.
here's my baby smiling and trying to talk to mommy

5...4...3...
sorry, i have been a little off my game. volleyball playoffs were this weekend, we needed to beat a team that beat us twice this season to go to state. a match is 3 out of five and we lost by two points in the 5th game. i defiantly felt like i let my team down, it was hard having the energy necessary with everything else going on in my life.
i love coaching, they are an amazing group of girls. here are some highlights from the season:
- winning the ASDB tournament
- when a ref. asked shannon is she touched the ball and she said, "yes", awarding the other team with a point
- the way the seniors played on senior night
- beating greenfields (one of our rivals) the last game of the regular season
- finishing with a 20-5-1 record
despite the finish, it was truly a great season
-back to politics-
why would colin powell endorse barak obama?
