i am thrilled to report that our homestudy has been sent off to holt international to be approved!! i have been waiting (admittedly not so patiently...) to hear this news. unfortunately because of my promotion at starbucks we will have to fill out some new paperwork and it may delay things a bit yet again, but i am still excited that there is MOVEMENT!
on top of that we have a car wash coming up on saturday, april 30th at academy of tucson middle school (7310 E. 22nd St. on 22nd, in between Kolb and Pantano). we will be washing cars for donations from 9 am - 2 pm and i have been excited by how many people have volunteered to help out. (but we could still use more help, so that means you!) we are hoping to raise $500 which will enable us to take the next step, filling paperwork with the us department of citizenship and immigration services.
knowing that things are moving along is exciting and has re-energized me to keep going. God's timing is so perfect.
the lions den was established to keep people posted on major events happening in our life and to keep a family history, an online scrap book of sorts. we understand our shortcomings in keeping up with family and friends across the country, so this is our attempt to put the ball in your court. the inspiration for the lions den came from our kids beniah and haneul, we want to be able to share their exciting developments with people who want to know. enjoy.

food for thought
Isaiah 58
In 2010, corporate profits grew at their fastest rate since 1950, and we set records in the number of Americans on food stamps. The richest 400 Americans have more wealth than half of all American households combined, the effective tax rate on the nation’s richest people has fallen by about half in the last 20 years, and General Electric paid zero dollars in U.S. taxes on profits of more than $14 billion. Meanwhile, roughly 45 million Americans spend a third of their posttax income on food — and still run out monthly — and one in four kids goes to bed hungry at least some of the time.
